GEMS:
Girls Empowered through Meaningful Support
What is The GEMS Program?
The GEMS program cultivates Black and Brown girls and teens in Westchester County to be “beautiful, bold, and better than they were the day before.”
Inspiring and empowering girls to become changemakers, our GEMS program is for middle and high school girls who want to make a difference. Much like the coal that ultimately becomes a diamond, the young women in our program are exposed to specific elements to transform them into confident, brilliant, knowledgeable, and capable adults.
We are focused on The Five Pillars: S.T.E.A.M, Financial Literacy, Community Service, College Prep and Identity Development.
When do we meet?
Diamonds (High School girls) every Tuesday, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
The Pearls (Middle School girls) every Wednesday, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
