From #MeToo to #WeToo:
Human Rights Breakfast
YWCA | 515 North Street | White Plains, NY 10605
On behalf of the YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester’s Board of Directors, staff, members, and volunteers we thank you for being a part of our Annual Human Rights Breakfast held on December 7th.
Our panel discussed Women’s Rights as Human Rights. Our panel, featured local and global leaders, looked at the rise of the #MeToo movement and the ways in which it brought to light the intersectional issues that women face not only in the workplace but in everyday life. The panel explored how the movement also brought about a shift from an individual focus to a more community based approach. This was the first of many discussions as the YWCA works towards better engaging and reflecting the Westchester community around us.
