Adopt green practices
Each year, the YWCA's Children's Learning Center shares science projects aimed at building sustainable practices for everyday living.
Reduce, reuse and recycle... from products such as newspapers to duct tape.

In addition, there is vibrant learning around energy and conservation.
See classroom projects at our online science exhibit at the YWCA's FB page.

The YWCA promotes sustainable activities and being “GREEN.”
Each spring, our early education classes create exhibits on energy, the environment and green design.  The children create vibrant displays that incorporate lessons in science, math and engineering with art, literacy and creative expression. Our goal is to build foundations at an early age for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education through age-appropriate lessons that bridge children’s interests with the world around them.
We encourage all participants and members to support green practices. Use these tips to incorporate simple practices to promote energy efficient practices each day. Share our Living Green presentation with a friend.
